Harry Potter

The unexpected summer premiere

Despite the recent Internet premiere of a certain highly anticipated trailer, Warner Bros. has announced that it's bumping the release date of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to next summer.

The film, originally slated to unspool Nov. 21, won't be bewitching us until July 17, 2009.

Not that the shake-up should give Hogwarts fans any reason to worry that this latest installment in the billion-dollar franchise isn't up to snuff—studio heads say this is purely an economic decision, based on the fact that Potter No. 6 is so darn magical.

Rihanna

Rihanna gives Katy Parry the kiss-off
This week Rihanna's a bad girl gone good.

Her new single "Disturbia" just gave the singer a third No. 1 hit from Good Girl Gone Bad and ended Katy Perry's seven-week chart-topping streak for "I Kissed a Girl."

Perry was the first female artist to hold the top spot for seven straight weeks since, ironically, Rihanna did it last summer with "Umbrella."

Rihanna's latest single made the two-spot jump to No. 1 after selling a week-best 148,000 digital downloads. Impressively, her previous chart-topper "Take a Bow" remains atop the Hot 100 Airplay chart, making this one of the rare times in which an artist simultaneously dominates the regular Hot 100 and the Hot 100 Airplay chart with different songs.

Good Girl Gone Bad originally scored just one chart-topper with "Umbrella," but Rihanna released a Reloaded version last June that contained the new hits "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia." As happens with bonus tracks on deluxe editions, fans often buy the individual tracks instead of the new version and this helps drive an artist's digital track sales.

Overall, Rihanna has scored four No. 1 hits, originally with "SOS" in 2006. This ties her with Beyoncé and Mariah Carey for the decade's most chart-toppers by a female artist.

Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" ultimately fell two spots to No. 3, with Chris Brown's "Forever" keeping at lock at No. 2. M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" claimed the No. 5 spot, a career best, thanks to an 11-spot jump. The song took flight thanks to digital sales following its use in the Pineapple Express trailer.

Yet again, the Jonas Brothers had the week's biggest bow. Their title track single "A Little Bit Longer" sold 131,000 downloads last week to enter the Hot 100 at No. 11 and the Digital Tracks chart at No. 2 behind Rihanna.

Equally impressive, the Brothers continue to rewrite the record books. A few weeks back, they became the first group to land three Hot Digital Songs debuts on more than six-figure sales each. "A Little Bit Longer" and last week's "Tonight" (131,000 copies) have since extended that record to five songs.

Helping to make this the summer of Jonas, their new album A Little Bit Longer, released on Tuesday, is a surefire lock for No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200.

Overall, Perry wasn't the only artist to see a chart-topping streak cut short. Keyshia ColeLil Wayne's "A Milli" dethroned it this week. Likewise, Disturbed's "Inside the Fire" was on a historic 14-week run at Mainstream Rock that Shinedown shut down with "Devour." spent the last nine weeks atop the R&B/Hip-Hop chart with "Heaven Sent" before

The Hot Country Songs chart continues to be relatively fluid, however, with Taylor Swift landing her second No. 1 with "Should've Said No." The young country darling previous topped the country charts with "Our Song."

Madonna

Madonna's illness?

Despite rumors that the pop icon's elaborate world tour would be scrapped on account of illness—inspired by a seemingly sprained ankle—a rep for the singer’s concert promoter, Live Nation, tells E! News the show will go on.

“We haven’t canceled any shows, it’s a full go starting on [Aug.] 23,” says the rep.

Meanwhile, the singer’s longtime rep Liz Rosenberg came to E! News to set the record straight on reports that the Material Mom is thisclose to adopting another child…

“There are several totally untrue rumors currently floating around about Madonna. One is that she is canceling shows, canceling a birthday party, that she's adopting a second child from Malawi and that she hurt her ankle. None of these are true”.

Lindsay and Ali Lohan

Bosom Scandal

For the second time in a week, Lindsay Lohan's little sister Ali Lohan is making headlines for comments regarding her appearance. First, CNN's Anderson Cooper blabbed about how the teen looked "14 going on 60" during a rant on Live with Regis & Kelly, and now come photos of Ali that seem to show a significant amount of sudden growth in her bust, leading some to speculate wildly that she'd paid a visit to a plastic surgeon. While Lindsay remained silent about the first comments, she's not letting this latest slight against her kid sis go away so easily.

Tommy Lee

Upping the Dating Ante?

Maybe this is how Pamela Anderson and her ex Tommy Lee play dating poker. Pam goes, "I'm dating a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family." Tommy goes, "I'll see your Arab prince and raise you one reality-TV vixen." Or maybe that's all just in our heads.

But in any case, you probably caught our exclusive earlier today about Pam's new man. Now it seems that Tommy's going tit for tat. Literally.

Sources tell E! news that the Mötley Crüe rocker is dating Rock of Love 2 hottie Daisy De La Hoya. And despite assertions from De La Hoya's rep that the duo are "just friends," our source says they're much more.

At the very least, De La Hoya is hot for Tommy's fans. She's featured on Lee's Titty Cam video—girls flashing their breasts for the camera—which plays at the beginning of Mötley Crüe's current concert tour

Paris Haute Couture Winter 08-09 Collections

The immortal La Ville-lumière lends its runways to another seasonal display of future trends.

The highly anticipated ritual of elegance - Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week was very much what it promised to be; romantic, feminine, and beautiful with architectural tailoring, past influences, curves, craftsmanship, the hand-executed techniques and details - the true art of beauty. Even if these exceptional creations will never find their way to boutiques or to our closets… true fashion lovers cannot miss a single pose.

Here are some moments:

At the Christian Dior show, genius Galliano seemed to have held back a little, and instead of a larger-than-life theatrical extravaganza he formed an exquisite collection of beautiful fabrics and illustrious classic designs. His luxurious show overwhelmed with a variety of feminine, elegant pieces all beautifully tailored with delicate Japanese touches yet still paying tribute to the old Hollywood 50's glamour and style. It was all about nostalgic, glamorous femininity with a twist; sheer fabric, lingerie-chic and petite 20's style hats. The total look was a beautiful homage to legendary starlets like Marlene Dietrich & Katharine Hepburn. Galliano also paid a fashionable homage to the late great designer Yves Saint Laurent with beautifully decorated fabrics and smoky colors which were the late designer's favorite.

Christian Lacroix, the overstatement conjurer, with his unique "gift" of finding a place for more superfluities and ornaments, always comes through with his glorious collections. The vivid colors of fuchsia, lime, bred and orange mixed with delicate pastels, shell colors, khaki, gold, dark blue and black. The beautiful hand-painted fabrics, the detailing, glorious dresses in silk, taffeta embroidered and encrusted with crystals, lace and scarlet beads, waterfalls of fabrics, silk roses, bows, exotic prints, jeweled and dazzled in a magnificent parade of periodic timeless beauty with a couture style Mohican-do…

For Valentino, the couture debut of Alessandra Facchinetti was perfectly executed. The young designer along with being one of the few women creating a couture brand along with ongoing the legendary legacy of one great designer; Facchinetti managed to create a collection filled with expression, inspiration and feel. There was movement, architectural design and a pastoral aura. A compilation of antique lace, elaborate patterns, sequins, embroideries, floral prints, flowing draped dresses, gentle silks and chiffons, jackets together with egg-shaped, sculpted & curvaceous skirts & garments… a mixture of old and new, innovative and classic sealed with a long red silk chiffon ballgown as an homage to the famous Valentino Red.

Lindsay and Ali Lohan

Ali's Upper Body?

Knowing what it's like to have her physique analyzed from every angle (hey, some of that was her fault!), the 22-year-old actress has come down on tabloid speculation that her 14-year-old sister, Ali, is sporting surgically enhanced curves.

Wrote Lohan on her "My Space Celebrity blog":

"i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. so, here's the visual...two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me...one of them being, 'Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?' WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

According to the Mean Girls star, her response was: "'Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!'

"i was caught out of nowhere so i didn't really come up with the proper response at the time.. there's many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!'" the post continues before delving into the Lohan family values.

"All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.

"i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you're not even fully developed yet! It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye... i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person."

Other than that, Lohan recently picked up some fab new fashions at Alexander Wang and she misses SamRon.

":(" she wrote.

Paris Hilton

Paris Sued for Lack of Pledge Class

"Paris Hilton is in trouble for supposedly not doing enough to make National Lampoon's Pledge This! sound hot.
Not concerning itself with what a daunting task that was, the film's distributor, Florida-based Worldwide Entertainment Group, sued the heiress Tuesday for breach of contract, charging that she didn't come through after being paid $1 million to star in and promote the 2006 comedy."(...)

Despite being one of the worst-reviewed movies of 2006 (it currently ranks as the 15th-worst film of all time on the Internet Movie Database website), the real reason that National Lampoon's Pledge This! was such a huge disappointment at the box office wasn't Paris Hilton's performance, but the lack of effort she exerted in promoting the film — or at least that's what a lawsuit filed on Tuesday would have you believe.

Worldwide Entertainment Group, the company behind the movie, is suing the celebutante for $75,000 because they claim she did not fulfill the "reasonable promotion and publicity" part of her agreement. The hotel heiress, who recently starred in the similarly dismal The Hottie & the Nottie, was paid $1 million to appear in and "executive produce" it — not a bad deal considering the film barely managed to gross that much in global ticket sales and never even had a U.S. release.

So be warned, film producers of the world, the next time you think about hiring an actress who is more famous for her partying than her film parts, you might want to think twice.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears!

Britney Spears tells to OK! magazine ALL ..!

The princess of the pop opens up with "OK!" magazine discussing her little boys and her sister, and everything else going on her life...

From her nasty divorce and custody battle to her now-infamous performance at the 2007 VMAs to the dark period under the control of "manager" Sam Lutfi, it's safe to say that the last two years were not the best in the young life of Britney Spears.

And now, one year after an erratic and distracted Brit stormed out of an OK! photoshoot, a very different woman sits down to talk openly about her two adorable sons, her father and the future of her nearly sidetracked career.

Having spent her young life in the spotlight, the 26-year-old mother of two tells OK! that she hopes her boys choose not to choose a career in entertainment. "I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to," she explains. "I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.

Perhaps some of Britney's reluctance comes from seeing her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, have to face so much public scrutiny over her recent pregnancy. "I was shocked a little bit," says Brit. "She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling."

The pop superstar also tells OK! that she wants her boys to be close to her newborn niece. "I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie," she says.

In an unexpected twist, Britney's downward spiral in recent years ultimately helped to heal the bonds between the singer and her parents,
Lynne and Jamie Spears.

"God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good," explains Jamie, who also spoke exclusively to OK!. "If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys."

Another positive that's risen out of her darkest days is Britney's new album, which she expects to hit stores in six to nine months. "I think it is more urban," she tells OK!. "I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room... This is my best work ever."
